About the GABC
The German American Business Council is an independent, non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to assisting German and American companies. Based in Washington DC, the GABC serves its members not only in the greater Washington DC area but also in other US states and Germany. Since its founding as an initiative of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2004, the organization has increased its membership steadily. Its members hold senior positions in their respective companies.
GABC is one of the prime organizations where members from both countries can meet, exchange their views and get together with key business and political leaders from both sides of the Atlantic.
"For more than ten years the GABC has established itself as a valuable and trusted bridge builder, bringing decision makers from both sides of the Atlantic together."
— H.E. Peter Wittig, German Ambassador to the United States
GABC's goals go beyond helping its members to succeed economically in their particular fields by collecting and exchanging expertise in all areas of bi-lateral trade and business. Its members also enjoy a great variety of program events, which address not only economic and political issues, but also provide opportunities to get together socially.
GABC’s continuous growth and expansion has made it a reliable and influential German-American institution on both sides of the Atlantic.
