Patricia Sherman is Vice President, Government
Affairs in the Washington office of Siemens Corporation. Her
responsibilities include international trade and economic
regulation, tax legislation, and internal public policy coordination.
She also supervises the state and local government affairs
functions for Siemens USA.
Patricia joined Siemens in January 2001
after having practiced international trade and business law
for five years in the Brussels and Washington offices of Wilmer,
Cutler & Pickering (now Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale
and Dorr).
Patricia’s experience in international
commercial and legal issues includes advising clients on international
trade and investment matters, including regulatory and compliance
issues in strategic trade controls, market entry, standards
and the environment. She has testified before Congress and
appeared before federal agencies, European Member State agencies
and administrative tribunals, the European Commission and
the European Parliament.
A former associate member of the Brussels
bar, Patricia is admitted to practice in California and the
District of Columbia. She is a member of the Boards of Directors
of the National Foreign Trade Councel, the Atlantic Councel
and The Organization for International Investment. She also
sits on the International Policy Committee of the U.S. Chamber
of Commerce.
